Quote from @Bruce Lynn:

Start building your database.

Make sure you have Names, phone, email, FB, IG of all the people who know, love, and trust you and want you to succeed.   That should be 500 at least.

Will do, thanks for your comment.

Hello all,

My name is Nico Alianiello I’m 20 years old and I just passed my state exam and received my Florida License. I’m super excited to dive into real estate but I’d like some feedback on where to start and what to prioritize. What should I look for in a brokerage? What should a brokerage look for in me? As I save and prepare for the initial expenses of becoming an active licensee is there anything I can do to jumpstart my business? Feel free to drop all suggestions and tips below! I look forward to reading all of your replies.

Post: QOTW: What is your “Why” for investing?

My "Why" for investing started at a very young age but has since changed as I matured. At first, when I was only 7 or 8 years old I dreamed of having a Lamborghini or a Bugatti. I would save my birthday money every year just in hopes that one day I'll be able to afford one. However I knew the annual $25 from Grandma wasn't going to cut it.

I have always been fascinated by the stock market and took it upon myself to start a brokerage account the day I turned 18. I have since learned so much and beyond about investing and the several different ways to do so. Which is how I've found myself here, on BiggerPockets. While I have yet to start my real estate portfolio. I know when I do eventually have the funds to safely invest I will be ready to hit the ground running.

As I matured and time went on, I realized having money is not just about having the fastest car or any materialistic item for that matter. It's about experiences. What you have done, where you have gone, and who you have met along the way. Along with having the financial security of taking care of your loved ones whether that might be helping a friend with debt, paying a hospital bill, or buying my parents' dream retirement home. Investing (when done properly) unlocks the freedom of being able to pursue these experiences and the privilege of being financially free, and THAT is my "why" for investing. (Although... it would still be cool to own a Lamborghini. LOL!)

Hello Everyone! My name is Nico Alianiello, I am 20 years old from Palm Beach County, Florida. I discovered Bigger Pockets through their awesome podcast (which I plan to listen to every single episode eventually.) As a matter of fact, I'm listening to episode 33 as I type this post :D. I plan to get my real estate license in the next few weeks and plan to become Palm Beach's next top producing agent then eventually expand into a full-time real estate investor. I personally am interested in flipping, and long-term and short-term rentals. I am ecstatic to begin using bigger pockets to learn from seasoned investors and network with others! Please feel free to drop and tips and advice, I look forward to meeting everyone, cheers!
