Post: New - TenantCloud v. Cozy v. ???

Hi, all. I'm closing on my very first rental property this week, and am looking to set up one of the online PM services, ether Tenant Cloud or Cozy. Buildium seems to cost too much for me, right now, having only one property.

What are your thoughts about TenantCloud and/or Cozy? To me, Cozy seems like a simpler user interface. Is one better than the other in terms of listing available rentals? Is one better than the other for applications, and accepting payments from tenants?

I know there are a few other posts like this, but they are a few years old and I'm looking for fresh perspectives given that I think each now has additional features, compared to a few years ago. Thanks in advance!

That's basically what I argued with Google support... I was seeing the podcast elsewhere, so why wouldn't it be on Google? I then checked another podcast (I think BP Money, actually) as I was chatting with her, and it was also a couple of weeks behind on their player.  I guess Google isn't the best at everything! :-)

I'll definitely be checking out Podcast Addict. Thanks for the suggestion.

I should add that a couple of months ago (??) I did complain to support for Google Play, and I was told that the problem is on the BP side.  I didn't really believe that because, at the time, the particular podcast was available on other platforms. I'm kind of leaning toward it being a BP issue, now, seeing that it is affecting more people other than me.

Also, this was a really good podcast. I need to listen to it again, because I tend to listen while I'm working, so my attention is spotty. :-)

I've noticed that, too, several times. It's a little frustrating, b/c I use that to play them at work and in my car. So I downloaded a different app, Podcast Player, and that app was also a couple of weeks behind until recently (now the most recent BP podcast, there, is 9/27/18), but it was more current than Google Play Music.

In the "Events" section here on BP, there have been some past events from the Springfield Area Landlords Association.  I don't see anything posted yet for October, though.

Hi, Elizabeth. We came to Normal, IL from the Minneapolis area approx. 15 yrs ago, but we think about going back to Mpls on occasion (I'd prefer to get back to the Chicago burbs where I grew up, though). I'm involved in the Bloomington-Normal REI group, but I think there is one in Springfield, too. I just put an offer that was accepted for my very first investment property, and will hopefully close in a month.

David Greene has a book about long distance real estate investing right here in the BP store. I don't have it yet, but it looks like a good one. You could start growing your portfolio in both areas, at the same time. I think with the internet, one *could* self-manage properties long distance, or find a reputable property manager.
