Thanks for all the great responses.

I don't know if anyone else feels this way but i feel that costar isn't as good outside of the major markets. What are your thoughts?

Hi,

What sites do you use to get reliable stats such as population growth, employment, new construction etc.? The sites I use show different numbers.

Thanks

Sorry. I'm looking in NY, NJ, CT, and FL. I wouldn't start in a new market unless it was significantly higher amount of units.

@John Warren

I completely agree. I posted this hoping that if there are some people who work in that market this thread would be a good place to connect with them.

Are there any agents on BP who work with large multi of 150+ units? It seems when people on the forums say large multi they generally mean 10+.

Thanks. Looking forward to speaking with you.

@Nate Sanow

Thanks for the reply.

What do you mean by comparing the sold price to rents and 3/2/2?

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out the best way to research markets? I don't want to just rely on headlines saying City X is a great place to live.

What data should I be looking at and where can I find it? Additionally what's the best way to learn the different neighborhoods in a city?

Any and all advice appreciated!

Hi

I'm stating to look to invest put of state. (Yes I know I need to get the book) Whats the best way to research a market? Find the population growth/loss, how the local economy is, who the main employers are etc.

TIA

Hi all

I'm looking to learn excel in general and specifically things that relate to RE. I've seen some tutorials on youtube but nothing that was RE focused. Are there any tips/formulas or tutorials that are specific for RE investing? All advice is welcome.

Thanks!
