I was wondering which cities or states in the U.S. have the largest amounts of BiggerPockets users. This would be quite useful information especially for an overseas investor like myself. Having access to a community of users at my fingertips in a certain town or city would make managing a portfolio from a distance more efficient... in my opinion. Please let me know if anyone has any idea. Thanks!

Good job with this house! What amount do you think you could get per month if you put this house on the market for rent?

Hello everyone and thank you for your replies so far! I've even upgraded just to prove that I'm serious!! :-)

I'm looking to invest in my first U.S. property and it can be anywhere. I'm trying to be as open minded as possible. My preference is an apartment building (or something similar) with several units or more. I'm after high yielding rental net income (as I'm sure many others here are too). I would also like a good capital gain in the long term. I'm looking for something that I can hold for the long term and is already running efficiently. I would like something that is simple to run especially from Hong Kong (of course I understand that I would need a property manager on the ground at least). Willing to invest cash... around USD50k-250k. Please let me know if anyone has any ideas and/or suggestions!

Thanks

Greetings from Hong Kong! I just finished reading the book "Buying Property in the U.S.A. (A Foreign Investor's Guide)" by Sam Daniels and Ken Sugiura and have decided to join this site on their recommendation. I am looking to find my first real estate property in the United States and would like to develop a portfolio of investment properties that have a good balance of rental yields and capital gains. I look forward to the discussions in these forums and hope we can all benefit together. Wishing you all the best!
