I have a question that I cant seem to get answered just right from my broker. A search has turned up nada here too.

Lets say I make 50k/year and have an IRA also at 50k just to keep it simple. If I do nothing I pay taxes on 50k income. But If I were to roll over my IRA into a Roth next week would my tax bracket be at 100k or still 50k? Since the money was obviously made in previous years I would like to think it would not raise my bracket that much. When it comes to the IRS though I have been wrong before.

Another question. Lets say I contributed 10k this year into my IRA. Would my total earned income be at 60K on the year?

@Beau Romstedt

I think he was asking you if you knew where he could get some. That's the way I read it anyway.

Forgot to mention that one time I did use the prefinished scalloped "shingles". I thought it worked fine with the color matched caulk. The problem I had was the customer was very picky and we ended up painting it anyway. Oh well, I guess the owner and archy didnt agree on that one. But it did turn out nice.

I must admit it may have been operator error on my part on the shears. I am a bit old school and its hard to change my ways. Other people I know and respect in the trade love them too and others like me don't. They may work real good for him. Mostly I just use the Smart Siding now unless asked to use Hardi.

@Michael McCartney

Try this one.

They will have or be able to order just about any kind of hardi you want. Cedarmill is the most popular but most times they can get whatever you need in a week or two.

I agree with Michael. The shears are expensive and hard to use. Mine is a paper weight now. The dust is also a problem. Thats why I have started using the smart siding which has the same guarantee. If you are in SA look at the McCoys on the north loop and they will have both products in stock. Let them help you compare the two products. If you are not in a hurry I will be doing a job in New Braunfels next month (hopefully) and maybe I can offer some free advice on the project.

Best of luck

Yes concur with the bleach and water. May take several times but it has worked for me also.

Keep in mind that putting up a fence is to keep in what you have not to restock from somewhere else. A well managed preserve actually will have to give away deer once a year to other less managed preserves. This month at Temple Ranch in Freer Texas they giving away over 300 whitetail deer. You have to ask way in advance for them though. These deer will be typical Boone and Crocket 140-180 points. The idea of a well managed hunting preserve is to repopulate, not obliterate.

I was down there in 2011 to build a hunting lodge so I remembered this link.

These deer HAVE to be given away or they will be overpopulated. Like Jon stated, your county extension agent as well as your game wardens can help you do it the right way and give you people who give away deer to help you populate yours. Even if you had to drive all the way to Texas, and picked up 20 deer, it would be worth it if those deer valued at 15k each.

Ok I will make an offer too. Here is my dilemma. The property is right next door and the neighbor used to be hostile towards me. He is now in a nursing home and not quit in his right mind. The house is in bad shape but as I am a contractor that will be no problem. The land appr. for 30k and improvements at 50k. Back taxes owed is 4k.

How would I find if the owner has a power of attorney and what rights would that person have to sell this property?
