Update 5/27:

  • 1. We'll have a short Presentation of Greg Russell's "Easily Generate Attention Getting Subject Lines for Your Useful Messages, that are often Overlooked." (OnLine Part 2 $77 Friday 7 pm)
  • 2. Setting up Your Own Automatic Irrigation system (as if we need it lately:-(
  • 3. Sorry no more Complimentary 1st time Guest Passes.

Thought I was busy, until I spoke to some of you folks! Here's a few of our Projects:
#Finished one of two kitchens with...

#Setting up for 17 CSF of Architectural shingles...

#Painting - we'll be using PaintShavers Pro 12Amp to strip the paint on 3 houses but we need a HEPA vacuum attached to it.
Tuesday's meeting Jerry will go through the Lead Paint removal laws and how he detects it with his X-ray gun.

#Salem now has an aggressive program to "Inspect"...

#Working on stopping the Japanese Knotweed at one house...

Anyway, My "busy" schedule is just about an average work load for some of you folks. It'll be good to catch up with you Tuesday at Pete's 47 Newbury Street (Route 1 North, jus before Sonic Carhop) Peabody, MA 01960

Have a Safe and Happy Memorial Day, Remember to Honor those that made our life in this great Country possible.

Hey Kelly & Evelyn,

I'm sorry to hear their Program did not work out for you.

If it was me, I'd go there in person and DEMAND my money back, especially if it was misrepresented and they did nothing they were supposed to do for you!

I'll get you up to speed on this, w/some refreshments. No charge to Members, Only $5/Guests (tip for the Waitstaff)

EPA/HUD RRP - (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency / U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development / Renovation, Repair & Painting)

"Any renovation work that will disturb more than 6 square feet per room in the interior of a home and 20 square feet total on the exterior of a home's coated surfaces falls under the RRP Rule. Failure to comply with RRP Rule could result in criminal and civil penalties, with fines up to $25,000 per day." Actually now it's $41,056.

Recently Our government descended on Manchester, NH with a mandate to Get The Lead Out! Previously it was complaint driven, not any more.

Also what do you think the outcome of 80 Inspections was?

I look forward to see you there at Kellys, Mike Hurney Mike@MassRealEstate dot net

PS Don't complain about Rules and Regulations unless you know what they are! (& that, should keep you out of trouble;-)

PPS A couple of Members seem to be having trouble finding "Deals", especially if they're looking on the MLS or with Brokers, we'll be debunking that!!

From summoning the motivation to start your own business to the intricacies of Being Your Own Boss. Claud artfully turns his personal experiences and those of other successful Contractors into advice on every aspect of starting and building a business.

"Hey Mike, You know when I wrote this book 9 Years ago, it served as a Guide for someone just getting into the Business,

However it was actually a check up for me and the Successful FATU Construction LLC

A few things are NEW, for example:

More EPA, OSHA rules and regulations but they generally make sense. Don’t fight them.

#However the Fundamentals of the Business are the Same.
Treat people the way YOU want to be Treated.

Don’t take shortcuts, they come back to you and are significantly more expensive

XTRAS, who hasn’t been pleaded into Doing a “little” extra this or that… So in the Contracts section I usually put a note about my Labor and Material rates for Extras and a copy of the “EXTRAs Agreement”.

#Tomorrow evening I’ll be getting into

What was the Biggest surprise for me in the Construction Business?

What you can NEVER take for granted?

What’s the Best outcome on a Job? Worst?

Where do I see the Construction business going and what Savvy Contractors are doing to prepare for it!

I look forward to see you there! Claudiu"

@Sebastian Bennett

Hey Buddy,

I remember when BP would be helpful. Not one of these Posts has 1st knowledge (heresay?) & how have you "checked them out." with a quote from their consultant, then you cast aspersions?

Reminds me of a relative with nothing, that gives you advice... "I know a guy at work who's Cousins, Uncles, Aunts, Mother did it and lost everything in Real Estate, I wouldn't do it!"

Me "Well if you know all that let's work together and you can show me what to avoid;-)"

relative "I'm busy, I'll get back to you later..." :-|

I'd go to your state Division of Banks & Secretary of State, looking for their Licenses, Filings and maybe Complaints. Maybe start small, if at all?

I like Seller Financing.
