@Seth Tandett for sure! I had contacted five people today: two SBA lenders (one of them is from Live Oak Bank), two loan brokers and a commercial lender. It's time to be powerfully in action! 💪

@Seth Tandett Yes! I have definitely considered both options. For some reason, that bank said that bringing even an experienced self-storage investor as a partner won't help the situation, which I totally did not expect because that was the plan. Regarding raising, I thought of that but did not highly consider it. Now, will do so! Thank you!

Hi BiggerPockets community!

We are under contract on our first cash flowing Self-Storage Facility for $500K. However, we just got rejected on our loan application from the lender that currently holds the note on the property - because of our income being international.

We are both US citizens but work for an overseas company (my partner’s family business). We file US tax returns.

Can anyone recommend a Lender/Entity that can finance this project given our circumstances?
Any advice or experience you can share if you’ve had with similar circumstances would be much appreciated!
