What is bird dogging? 

Well, I have just been informed that calls are difficult since phone numbers are typically unavailable. I suppose this makes door knocking that much more important. 

I was thinking I would target owner occupied (obviously) homes that look distressed in B-ish areas within 15 miles or so of my house. Although, I wasn't planning on door knocking just hanging door hangers and then calling in a few days. Perhaps that is not aggressive enough and I should be knocking on the doors. 

I intend on driving for dollars with a stack of door hangers to place on selected homes. I would like to avoid putting them on homes that are not owner occupied. Is there anyway to purchase a list of houses in a specified zip that can give me this info? I'm in Utah if that helps.
