I purchased a property about 2 years ago with the plans to develop a high end apartment complex. It looks like I may have some septic issues. I’m now contemplating doing a mixed property. Renovating the existing multi family on site and putting in storage facilities as well for extra revenue. I’m located in central CT. Just trying to see the estimated cost for each garage sized unit would cost. From what I’ve researched it would be about $8000 per unit . It seams a bit high there’s not much to them. Anyone have any experience in storage units ? Greatly appreciate any info. Thanks

Thank you very much.  I will look into this today.

Has anyone been successful in purchasing a home for the direct use of all Airbnb units ? I’m looking to purchase a 6 unit for Airbnb and short term rentals. I own a handful of homes now on long term leases. I’m transitioning some of those units into Airbnb but having trouble finding banks to work with.

Congratulations ! I myself am on the journey to copy what you have done. The brrrr strategy has been working well for me since not having much capital was the biggest hurdle. Its been a little over 6 months since I decided to shoot for the stars and I'm closing on a triplex for unit numbers 6,7, and 8 this month. Your story is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing . Good luck on your adventure.

@Louis Hiza I'm also looking to invest in Connecticut's multi-family market. I finally have an  excepted offer and should be closing by the end of the month.  I have put offers on over a dozen properties in the last 2 months with only one being excepted. The numbers must work and that's what I stick to. It seams I've been having more luck with foreclosure's and homes for sale by retiring investors.  I had 2 deals close to an agreement with 2 different retiring investors but since I'm new to the area and type of investing I was not going to budge on my strike price. So I suggest looking at the foreclosure lists in the areas your looking to invest and be quick to offer. Just know the numbers of that exact area. I've noticed that rents can vary significantly from block to block in certain areas in CT. I'm also new to this market but I hope this helps a little.

@Filipe Pereira the home I'm currently looking for a contractor for is in Naugatuck CT.  It's a duplex witch will need new kitchens and baths, and some other interior work. I'm also considering adding a 3rd unit in the attic since there's about 800sf and it has windows on all sides .

Good morning BP. I'm searching for a contractor in the central Connecticut area that is capable of larger scale renovations. I've been and still am in the construction field for 15 years and have renovated my first few houses myself but  I'm trying to gear my new company to be hands off. I'm also fairly new to the areas that I'm investing in CT since I relocated here from NY.  I know this is one of the most difficult aspects of real estate to find but any help would be appreciated. Thanks
