My fiance and I have been exploring about starting up our real estate journey by purchasing a foreclosure, or a HUD home for our first ever house purchase. We would then house hack to help build some equity for future BRRRR properties. I have looked at different websites for foreclosures, as well as the HUD website, and it seems some of these websites provide different information on each. Is there one website to help with this problem? It also seems the HUD website has only a handful of properties in the Spokane area. Is it because there are a smaller amount of people foreclosing on their FHA loan? Would love to hear some opinions. Thanks!

Nice to meet you Andrey! That is great news about Spokane, but the properties that I am looking for are SFH and MFH for long-term growth. I will definitely contact you about future properties. As far as properties would you recommend Brownes Addition, as well as Airway Heights as upcoming neighborhoods to invest in?

That is awesome news Stacey! Wish you nothing but the best for your future endeavors. I hope to be acquiring something here soon, but I think I am over analyzing deals rather than just going for it.

Hello fellow BP community! I just want to get opinions on investing out of state for your first buy and hold property. Would it be a terrible choice to do that? Or should I stick to my hometown for my first property?

Thanks,

Mike

Great story! Very inspiring

Nice to meet you Jaysen and thanks for the feedback. I will double check my numbers and plug them in. Again, this is brand new so I'm trying to work out all the kinks.

Hey guys would appreciate some feedback on this property. I am pretty new at this calculator stuff but I gave it a shot. Original price for the 4-plex was 399,900. Read Brandon Turner's 7 years to 7 figure wealth and he stated that he would want to get his properties around 20% off of asking price. In this I was around 17-18%. Again, any insight would help me, and I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,

Mike

Ok thank you! I will let you know if I run across some.
