Welcome to the world of investing. I would tell you even before you look at deals, find out the one thing you want to pursue within investing (wholesaling, buy and flip, buy and hold etc) then watch/listen some podcasts and read some books about it. MASTER IT! Then look for those deals while building a team to help execute them.

Good luck and take in all the knowledge you can through BP!

Check groupon for classes.. They have in class and online.. Don't pay anymore than 125 unless they are giving you a bundle. I used reedc.com (real estate education center) online for 85 just for the 75 hour course and bought a Barron's book with practice exams and a lot of study material for 22.. Good luck!

@Jacqueline Pelzer make sure you use groupon to find good discounts.. try www.reedc.com .. I did mine online through them it was 85 back in December and now it is 89. The course is very simple and you will lose track of the hours so do not think if you logged 75 hours or not. The exam is quite to the point (know the ny laws!, difference between the buyer and seller relationships, the math portion).

Thomas Cardona I was going to send you text tomorrow but how are you? I was going to let you know I passed the exam and working with Keller Williams. Spent a good couple of hours looking on the MLS for multis.. A couple in the Bronx. And thanks John Hickey

Those places are very good to invest as a lot of people are relocating to lower Westchester from the city. I am looking to invest myself in Yonkers, Mt. Vernon and White Plains in Westchester specifically. I was just talking to agent who owns properties in the Bronx. Pm me and hopefully we can partner on a deal.

@Jacqueline Pelzer I totally agree with you about areas having better neighborhoods. Also some of those areas are starting to be cleaned up.
