John,
Have you networked locally to find investor groups (Facebook, REIA, etc.) to be able to consistently have go-to advisors?

David,

That is a very straightforward and comprehensive listing of the avenues for finance.  I'm going to send this to some of my junior team members to read and memorize (quiz to follow).
Keep up the good work.  It's nice to see folks provide some content (especially for the newbies joining every day.
My 2 cents,
Mike

John,
I agree with the other posts.  Your ask couldn't be more vague.  On a BP Forum, you have lots of experts that can offer both advice and services.  If you need to make an "ask", any "ask", always remember "Who, What, Where, When, How and Why".

For an ask of business funds, a seasoned business professional usually states his case, like a business case, in the form of a proposal.  The more professional your "ask", the more attention and interest you'll get from other professionals.

So, how much, for how long, for what purpose, with what collateral, with what type of payments (interest only, interest and principle, balloon only, etc.) and what exit plan?

My 2 cents,
Mike

I have to agree with Trent. I'm old school, but I have only one STR. We have a hard copy guidebook and the guests use it.

My 2 cents,

Anton,

That $1,500/month HOA does seem high. Are you looking at several properties. How much do they vary?

Hey BP fam,

Yes, summer.  Traditional travel season.  But in Eugene, OR, you have 3 influences: University of Oregon (go Ducks!), the Pacific Ocean is 1 hour west, Cascade Mountains and skiing one hour east.  We stay booked year round, but heavier in the summer.

My 2 cents,
Mike

Josh,
Semper Fi!  I'd like to connect but I hit the "BiggerPockets hourly limit" when I went to connect with you.  But more important, I saw your USMC background when I went to your profile.
Send me a connection request and I'll confirm.

Josh,
If you find a reliable answer, I'm interested.  I'm a real estate investor, private money lender and an Airbnb Ambassador.  I am also very involved with 2 local homeless organizations and in the winters I'm a homeless shelter overnight supervisor volunteer.
I'll reach out to connect next.

Quote from @John Underwood:

You just have to do your due diligence.

Getting a great deal on a great property could offset the higher interest rates.

Other tings working against you:

Higher property taxes

Higher Insurance rates (if you can even get insurance)

Local STR rules and fees.

Changing STR rules that ban STR's after you purchase one.

Etc.

 Josh,
Well except for the 4 items you mentioned, then it's a walk in the park.... LOL
