Hi @Jamiel Strickland,

Thank you for the information. I will be adding these to my list and check out the neighborhoods while I am there. I am open to the suburbs as well as within Detroit. Where there’s a good deal and the numbers work :). My trip schedule has not been finalized, but I definitely would like to link up with you while I am there!

Hello Biggerpockets Members!

I am a new investor and planning to do my first deal as an out-of-state investor in Detroit. I have been working diligently to establish my “4 core” team before my trip next month. Lately, I have been analyzing deals in Detroit but looking more outside of the inner-city such as Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Redford, Warren, Ferndale, and Madison Heights. Does anyone recommend any other neighborhoods to check out while I made there? I am also trying to schedule meetings with PM and agents while I’m there as well. Also trying to see if there’s any auctions while I’m there.

Thank you!

Post: Found a Property to Wholesale under an LLC that was Cancelled

Hello Biggerpockets community!

I need some advice on a property I found as a possible Wholesale deal. This is a vacant property that is fenced off. I did my research and found that it is owned by an LLC. When I searched up the LLC, the Owners filed to cancel that LLC 2 years ago, but through the county assessor, the property is still registered under the LLC. Is this common? I found the owner's name and have been trying to contact him, through everything that I've found (place where he lived, social media, phone numbers, emails, etc.) but all of these contact info has not been active around the same time they filed to cancel the LLC. Has anyone came across this issue before? What would be the next step? I'm currently trying to find a family member in hopes to get some information on the owner and/or property.
