@John Hickey I am still bullish on Newburgh. Have you seen any contiguous portfolios for sale, say 20+ untis? I am looking for larger units as I develop my skills and portfolio.

Hello. I am a newbie in investing in Middletown NY.  I would appreciate any insight into the market as you see it and possible introduction to realtors and wholesalers in the area.

Forgive my ignorance.... but With HOA fees do you also have to pay taxes, or is that included?

I currently own 47 units (3 complexes) in mid-state (Monticello and Newburgh). I have investors very interested in investing in our investment and management strategy but as you know, inventory is low. We invest in highly distressed complexes and have entered into JVs with owners. Thanks in advance.

I am interested in investing in upstate NY around the Monticello, Middletown and Newburgh, etc.. areas (i guess 'mid-state'). Basically within 100 miles from the city.

 I have been to Albany (a stretch to our investment criteria) but have not see many multifamily buildings / complexes available (30+ units) Would appreciate any insight on the area and introductions to brokers or whole sellers.

@Will McGuire I too am looking into Monticello NY and would appreciate your time to discuss. I have a couple of properties in Newburgh and was looking to spread out. 

Has anyone invested in Monticello NY? If so, what has been your experience in terms of renters, CAP Rates, overall job opportunities, etc...

@Tim Moran Thanks for the information. I am looking in Swan Lake and have found some multi-family that are really interesting. Where can I find some information the summer rentals and the hot spots?

@Ibrahim Hughes. Interested in investing in Newark near the hospitals. How is the Weequahic section near Beth Israel? I heard Rutgers is expanding their campus and footprint in the area
