Welcome @Cody Lingle !

BiggerPockets is definitely the place to be to learn and grow your network. The tools, mentors and connections you can meet are endless. Also like another said check out the local REI Clubs. Great way to get a feel for your market and what's happening by talking to investors who are active in the area. Feel free to give me a call anytime if you need help analyzing a property or a market.

Hey Carl,

Welcome to the site! I have met so many great contacts and mentors through this site. I am a local broker in the area and investor myself. I would love to talk sometime about our markets and share some connections.

Good luck!

@Eunice L.

Go Cubs!

My team and I invest out here in the Naperville area. The taxes are high yes, but there are several other benefits to the area as well. Any many areas you could cash flow in on rentals. Naperville is better for fix/flips, but areas like Joliet and Aurora are great rental markets. There are several other closer to the city as well.

Hey All,

Quick Question! What is the best site out there to find Home Ownership Rates for a particular city or zipcode? The https://www.census.gov site has a lot of information, but can't find area specific data.

Looking to use the data to identify and qualify rental markets near me and across the country

Thanks in advance!

Mike,

I recommend reading  @Brandon Turner book on Investing With No or Low Money Down which can be found in the bookstore on this site!

One thing it talks about is creative partnerships. That’s what I am currently using to get deals done with my brokerage owner!

@Max Spellman

Are you looking to actually work as an agent or just get the license to save money with your family’s transactions?
