Post: Property Management: Like or Dislike?

Hello Investors On BP!

I work in property management and see all the ins and outs of the business.  To be frank, some if it sucks, but other parts are very rewarding.  It seems like most people hate PM or don't want to do it so they hire a PM company to take care of it for them.

I wanted to start a conversation and see what you all think about PM?  Do you like it?  Dislike it?  Why do you like or dislike it?

Do you have any questions about property management?  If you have any questions, I can answer them for you or at least point you in a direction to find the answer.

My goal is to make PM seem fun and get people excited about it :)

I look forward to chatting!

Hey BP fam!

I just have a quick question that maybe y'all can help shed some light on.  I am familiar with two markets, Middle TN and Central MD.  I am looking to flip houses in these areas and am trying to find a good trustworthy assignment contract.  I see that there are a lot of vague pdf's online that can be used, but do any of you have a favorite resource that you've gotten your contract from that you'd like to share?  I know whatever I use it will have to be reviewed by a lawyer, and y'all are not legal professionals.  Just asking for opinions! :)

Going through those early obstacles up front when getting started and just making sure I have my ducks in a row.

Thank you!

Hey everyone!

I wanted to thank everyone who came out to the meetup and took time out of their busy schedules.  It was a blast meeting every single one of you, and I can’t wait to potentially collaborate in the future.  To everyone who had plans or who couldn’t make it, we missed you!  Please don’t worry, as we will be hosting many more of these meetups in the near future.  For those who couldn’t make it, I can’t wait to meet you at the upcoming events!  I will make another post about it, trying to give around 2-3 weeks notice, when we set the next one up.

I loved the atmosphere everyone had - which was one that was warm, inviting, friendly, informative, and FUN!  I’d love to do this around once every 4-6 weeks and build a local community.

Talk to y’all soon.

Hey Everyone!

My latest post on this forum with some specifics got removed.  I posted the event in the events section and it is labeled "Nashville New&Experienced Investor Meetup".

We have the basement reserved for the event at Hopsmith so it should be a great time!

I hope to see all of you there.

Hello BiggerPockets!

This meetup will be a great opportunity for new investors to meet other new investors in the area.  New investors can learn and grow together.  Seasoned investors with larger portfolios can come and share how they got to where they are and give advice.  Lenders, contractors, realtors, and property managers can come and connect with new hungry investors looking to invest in deals.  The main focus of the meetup is being new to real estate investing and getting from 0 deals to ___ deals.  We are all looking for financial freedom, let's help each other get there!

Your net worth is as big as your network.  See you there!

I’m excited to meet every one of you!

Hey BP!  I wanted to run something by you.  Would y'all be interested in a Meet Up for new investors in the Middle Tennessee Area?  I was thinking about starting a meet up group where new investors could come and meet other new investors in the area.  It would be a great way for people of the same expertise to learn and grow together.  Anyone can really come.  Seasoned investors with large portfolios / experience can come and talk about how they got to where they are and give advice.  Lenders, realtors, and contractors can come and connect with new hungry investors looking to invest in deals and find financial freedom.  But the main focus would be on being new in RE investing and getting from 0 deals to ____ deals.  It's a win - win for everyone!  Your net worth is as big as your network.

Post your thoughts and if you'd be interested, and I can make it happen!  Thanks!
