A partner and I just purchased 2 4-unit brick apartments in New York State and we have started the 90-day eviction process for 1 tenant.  We are nervous this tenant is going to damage the unit now that he knows we are evicting him.  I am hoping someone can let us know how we should proceed!  Any advice is appreciated.

@James W. Completely understand. I have a 5 bedroom single family but luckily the driveway can fit 5 cars. Thanks for the advice!

@Connie Chan thanks again! I am in the process of buying my second which will increase my number of students to 8. Now is the best time to make the change to a program like Tellus! Thank you very much.

@Jake Walroth Great tip! I couldn’t agree more. In most college towns it is easy to stand out if you upkeep your properties. Parents especially will be willing to pay more for a well maintained home for their child (in most cases).

@Connie Chan thanks for the tips! I currently use a group text message and Venmo but I will have to look into Tellus. I think the notification feature would be great for them!

@Mary Mitchell thank you for the information! I currently have 1 rental for college students that I bought last year so I am slowly learning but it is great to hear from others! Have you read any great books on the topic?

I am looking for any tips when it comes to renting to college students and if anyone can recommend any great books on it! I know there are some nuances to this that traditional rentals do not face so I want to make sure I am fully prepared for the venture. Thank you for the help!
