Hi Paul! I'll be keeping your info as I'm about to be a North Carolina resident and property investor. Welcome to BP and good luck with your project!

@Maranda Tucker Oh man... this is great news! I need all the friends I can get since I currently only know one person (who I don't really know). I'll be in town Jan 22-Feb 4 and would LOVE to meet up! I make the official move in April and can't wait!

Hi! I am looking for one or two properties in Starkville... one for a rental and one for my parents to live in for two years. So, I need a realtor, property manager, and possibly some contractors. Let me know if you know any good people there, please and thank you!

Hello!! I am so thrilled to have found this community! I am new to the real estate investing world and am currently absorbing EVERYTHING I can find and learn. I've obsessively been listening to every podcast episode I can, reading all the books, and signing up for any and every workshop and educational seminar. But if you know any other resources or great spots to get started, please share them! I am a sponge!

I have lived in Austin for almost 20 years where I own one house that has been my primary residence for four years now.  I was one of the lucky ones who bought a house during covid and got the best price and the absolute best interest rate... so, I'm never letting this house go! I am single and 42 and doing this all on my own... no one in my family has any experience in the investing side of things, so I am truly starting from scratch.

As of April 2025, I will be moving to the Charlotte area (along with my two pups) and putting a renter in my Austin house. I am looking to meet lots of new friends in the Charlotte area who are interested in real estate... so, if you know of any good meet ups or groups or events, please send them my way! I'll be bouncing back and forth between the two cities over the next four months before I move in order to get life set up and trying to learn the city... and hopefully find my next project.  (My next visit being Jan 22 - Feb 4)

My full time job... I am a professional photographer and have been doing that for the past 18 years, so I'll also be building my business in NC from the ground up! I specialize in portraits... so, headshots, family portraits, lifestyle and branding content, boudoir, and anything else where humans are photographed.

As of now, I have zero connections in Charlotte. I know NO ONE! Haha! So, I am truly coming into this blind... but excited and optimistic and ready for a new challenge/adventure! I look forward to hearing from any of you... and to the possibility of making friends and connections through this forum.

If you've made it through that whole thing... thank you!  If you respond, thank you in advance.... good karma is on it's way to you!
