Hi Sean,

How much capital did you begin investing with?

I agree that 30K to 50k is a good start to buy a few seconds / a mini pool. Its a numbers game, the more the better.

I run a company that manages assets for note buyers. Note buyers hire me to board their loan and manage the workout process. My company is working 150 non performing 2nds with no money in. We get a fee to board the note buyer's loan & we get a % of what we collect. Very powerful business model.

How long after beginning the program were you able to go full time?

2 years. Everyone's different. I have been doing business with PPR since 2007.

Have you found that PPR was a sustainable source of note deals, or once you began to scale, were you forced to locate other sources to improve yield and/or deal flow?

PPR is a good source. We are always looking for sources, the more sources the better.

I understand that PPR runs a private placement to fund their business. Have either of you gone down that road or have you located other sources of capital to grow your business (self funded, borrowing, etc.)

Yes, we have PPM as well. Knowing how to raise money is the most critical skill you will ever acquire. The more we raise the more we can purchase.

Brett,

I have been active in the note business for the last 5 years. I also work the non performing 2nd mortgage space. I'm a PPR student, I have known Dave Van Horn for the last 7 years. Dave is my mentor. Taking the PPR note course changed my life. 2 years ago, I left a 9 to 5 job after 15 years to pursue the note business full time. Like Dave told me long ago, there will be lots of money made in the non performing 2nd mortgage space, he is correct. Education is the key, PPR is the real deal and so is Dave. I have nothing but great things to say about Dave and PPR. I say do it. Feel free to email me any questions you have, [email protected]
