@Steve Hodgdon I agree 100% a fully owned car with a “pink slip” is the way to go and that’s what I’ll Be focusing on once this bmw is paid off.

Hello all my fellow BPers, I am looking for wholesalers in the Chicago area who wouldn’t mind connecting with me and answering several questions about wholesaling. I know a few investors personally and also individuals who have owned there homes for years. Basically I want to make a deal happen, but I don’t know where or how to start. Please reach out to me if you are a Chicago wholesaler who will help. Thanks.

@Chris Szepessy I will definitely be keeping it. Idk about driving it as much but it will be in my possession. @Steven Dreyer Winters are very brutal just had to get all new set of tires getting brakes done really soon and that’s about 2k+. @Mike B. Yeah good luck with that! Until I get several doors and a good cash flow I’ll look into $40k+ cars. @Jason DiClemente Nice! I’ll have to look more into that as well.

@Jason DiClemente That’s interesting because I didn’t know a BMW let alone a 3-series can tow anything. And yes I got about 6-8 more payments and I’ll be done! Thinking about what kind of car should I get after that’s why I started this post.

@Jin Lim I’m going to go the similar route once this is paid off in a few months. Maybe go get an old 2000-2005 Tahoe or small car.

What kind of cars do you guys drive or have? Do you lease, own, or finance? I would like to know before my real estate journey. I currently drive a 08 BMW 5 series and it is killing my savings for my down-payment. Insurance, monthly car payment, maintenance, gas, etc. If you guys can drop a quick sentence with the year make and model and how it was purchased that will give me an idea of the typical RE investor purchases.
@Christopher M. My first property I want to house hack with a MF via conventional 5% or FHA 3.5% preferably south side. Will reach out to you soon Happy turkey day!
@Christopher M. Nice! Trying to get a small MF-unit next year then I want to jump into flipping. SF or MF units on the south side of Chicago.
