thanks man, i appreciate you taking the time to respond. i am going to build my portfolio primarily around buy and hold rental properties. i plan on starting out with a house hack and possibly wholesaling or flipping while living in the house hack since i will be living for free and won’t have a mortgage payment since my tenants will be paying it so even if i buy a property to flip and something goes wrong and i’m not able to sell it, i will still only be paying one mortgage payment. you definitely know more than me when it comes to this stuff so is there any advice you have specifically about buy and hold multi-family properties in indianapolis?

Hello all, my name is Max Wuensch. I am an 18-year-old senior in high school and I am getting ready to graduate in a few months. I feel as though this is a time in most teenagers' lives when we start having to think about what it is we want to do after college or what career path we may be interested in. Over the past 4 or 5 months, I have been hit with what Brandon would call "The real estate bug". After reading rich dad poor dad I became more and more interested in passive income and the kind of opportunity and financial freedom real estate can bring to one's life. I started listening to the BiggerPockets podcast a few months ago and have also been reading Brandon's books and it is almost as if I have discovered this new passion of mine. I am reaching out on the BiggerPockets forum in order to seek any knowledge or advice on how someone in my position can begin their real estate investing career or some practical steps I can take right now to further my education and experience in the world of real estate investing. To give some background I am now working 30 hours a week at my job, tracking my income and expenses, trying to save up for my first deal. I am investing a large portion of my income into the stock market in order to make my wealth grow faster so that when I am ready to purchase my first real estate deal I can liquidate some of my equity in stocks. I would be extremely grateful to anyone willing to offer advice, thanks!
