Post: Transfer Property into LLC

Hi everyone im looking for some help. I want to transfer my rental properties into an LLC, however, I was told it's not allowed for properties that have an FHA loan? Is this true?

If so, is my only option to transfer title to the LLC is to refinance?

@Brandon Sturgill Thanks for your response. I am considering going with a FHA or conventional loan. I currently dont have a huge amount of capital right now so FHA may be my best option, but it will depend on the deal.

New RE investor looking to get my first small multifamily investment property to owner occupy within the next few months in Houston. I'm looking to get some advice on areas I should be looking into to find a good property for cash flow with minimal work needed on the property. Would something like this be difficult to find right now?

I recently moved out and leased my house in order to reduce my personal expenses so I can maximize the amount I can save to go towards my first real investment deal. The house is still on the original mortgage which is a 30yr fixed FHA loan.

My plan is to refinance into conventional loan to lower mortgage payments and increase the cashflow and then find a small MF to house hack with an FHA loan.

My question is, would it be best to use use some of my capital towards the refi to get an even lower mortgage on the current property for more cash flow or use it towards a new property so that mortgage can be as low as possible.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am interested in the responses to your question as well @Najat F Kessler

@Shawn Wolfswinkel I am local and will be reaching out this week. I am interested in looking at some of the properties. Thanks.

Hi @Shawn Wolfswinkel I would like to connect with as well and get information around the market in Houston. I am interested in small multifamily properties.

@James Wise thanks for the information. Are you aware of any good providers located in those markets?

Hi BP Nation!

I'm a beginner in REI, and besides looking heavily into doing an owner-occupied small multifamily property I was also considering doing a turnkey property for my first deal. I figured this too would be a good way to get in the game without jumping off the deep end to start out.

My questions are:

  • Would Houston, TX be a good market for turnkey property's?
  • What are some good up and coming markets that I should look into for turnkey property's?
  • What are some good turnkey providers that I can consider?

Thanks in advance for the help and info!

Looking forward to attending, learning as much as possible and networking with everyone!
