no sweat, I'm super new to this, but I read a lot.

basically @Juan F., how much do the Real Estate properties cost in your market out there in the palms, it's a bit hectic in the OC.

-you can use average listing price for different types of SFR (single family residences)

-you can go off what you have seen as an average (ex. $100k-$350k homes)

-$/ sqft

I can always look on trulia/redfin/realtor.com/or Zillow, but im more interested in knowing what you've come across

@Juan F., I really haven't looked out that way, I keep looking towards Orange County.

Norco, that's right up the street, wow, small world indeed.

I purchased my first property out here. I'm originally from the Long Beach area, actually I've lived all over SOCAL, now I'm looking into multi-family properties. what's the cost of RE out there?

well hello @Juan F., I too am military, just purchased a home here in SOCAL using the VA loan, now looking to rent that property out and refinance into a conventional and or FHA down the road, BP has been a tremendous help bridging the learning curve with REI. so feel free to reach out.

welcome to BP! curious, how's the market out there, out here in Southern California, it extremely difficult to find quality deals, or any that fit the numbers. I'm also a buy and hold investor, truthfully, very new to the Investing scene but hey reach out any time

Nice man, you just inspired me. I was getting a bit frustrated with finding properties and looking at the numbers. Then I see this and it made my day.

curious to see how other investors are getting into their second property, I'm using VA loan now, but have reached the live in period and I'm trying to see how others are obtaining their second home whether multi-family or SFR. My plans are to rent out the first home, it is completely remodeled and In great condition. Now I am looking for another property, but have hit some minor hurdles. I'm also looking at other booming markets, particularly Arizona or Texas. any advice will be great.

1. how do you qualify for another loan when you have a loan in place?

2. should I refinance out of this loan? don't have too much equity (only 7 months in the home)

3. home was primary residence, now looking to turn it into an investment. should I keep or sell?

4. what are others in my market doing? staying in California, or venturing out?

reach out to other members of bigger pockets, I really haven't dealt with FHA loans so I don't know. I know that the BRRRR technique works well with that type of loan, but hey, BiggerPockets is a great resource
