 Thank you!  Any suggestions?

Hello,

I’m seeking suggestions for a broker to hang my license with a couple of caveats:

1) I have a full time job right now and won’t be able to switch over to Real Estate for a couple of years.

2) I have some investment properties (SFRs in Williamson County) that I might sell or buy some more of, and I might be arranging the sale of some land (Kerr County) for family.

So basically I’ll be busy with my current job and unfortunately won’t be able to benefit from a broker’s front office, or training, or support network just yet (hopefully in a few years).  I would like the ability to process maybe 1 or 2 personal sales where I would like to keep costs low.

I realize most of the big name brokers like to take someone in, train them, get them in the office answering phones and observing the more experienced agents, etc. but I’m just not in a spot to do that yet.  I plan on doing that in a few years, but right now I was wondering what other options exist?

Thanks for the replies.  I think all of the Hill Country is great, but for family reasons I’ll be starting in Kerr County.

I’m just looking for investor meetings (if there are any) so I can network and learn since land sales have many differences from cookie cutter home sales, as several of you have commented.

Thanks for the info.

Do either of you know of any brokers who do flat fee or tier based pricing for land sales in the Hill Country?

Hello,

Wondering if there are any investor meetups or groups in the Texas Hill Country, similar to the ones in the metro areas?

I’ve been investing in the Austin area for over ten years, am finishing up my sales license, and looking to expand into land sales in the Kerrville area of the Hill Country.

Thanks,

Matt
