@Chris Policicchio can you please DM me Ward Contracting’s info as well. Thanks!

Sorry for the delayed response Joshua. I found Jeremy on Bigger Pockets.

Make sure you don’t hire Jeremy Pace (Allegheny Remodel/JPPM). He did terrible work and ripped me off for $5,000 plus another $2k in work I have to redo. Total loser. See my previous post. I’ve had 4-5 people respond and say they got ripped off by him as well.
Wish I had someone to recommend but haven’t had much luck finding a reliable, available and reasonable priced one myself.

Thanks for your reply Chad. Sorry to hear that Loserboy swindled you as well. I strongl;y encourage you to file a complaint with the PA Attorney General's office. If we get several people to do so they may pursue a case against him. I'll touch base with you via DM.

Thanks Aaron. I’ll definitely reach out via PM. If anyone else has had a bad experience with this or other contractors in Pittsburgh let us know so we can help others to avoid the bad ones.

I agree that it would be great to create a site specifically for investors where we could share contractor resources. SO MANY bad ones out there!

DO NOT hire Jeremy Pace or his company Allegheny Remodel or JPPM (Jeremy Pace Property Management). The guy is a total hack and ripped me off directly for about $3,500 and indirectly for another $3,500 in work I will have to redo. He talks a good game but is a total con artist.

Jeremy Pace is a TERRIBLE contractor. Just look at his BBB Rating (F) and Buildzoom review. I hired him a few months ago to do a moderate rehab for me. Not only was the quality (or lack therof) of the work terrible but he walked off the job with no warning and took about $4,000 we paid him for work that wasn't done. I will have to spend another $3,000 to redo work that he did terribly (framed a wall 7" thick, bathroom floor tile was loose after it was laid, drywall mudding was totally rough). I definitely learned my lesson. For ANY contractors you hire do a quick Google search to see if anything comes up. Also ask for references and pictures of work they've done. Finally don't let what you pay them get ahead of the work they've actually completed and inspect the work before you pay them. I trusted him more than I should have because he was a BP member. BP is amazing but anyone can set up an account or become a Pro member so make sure to vet them.

Ironically even though Brandon warns against hiring someone through Craigslist the contractor I found to replace Jeremy does AMAZING work and works at a very reasonable rate. Good contractors are hard to find but they can be found anywhere. Just make sure to VET THEM.

I’d contact William McDonough or Arch Masonry.
