Hi All!

I'm looking at purchasing a property at the Allegheny County Sheriff sale in Pittsburgh and wanted to make sure that all liens are guaranteed to be cleared if I purchase a property at the sale? I have heard multiple conflicting things from different folks. Some folks have told me that just private liens are cleared and others have said that public liens are the first to be cleared. I have done extensive due diligence on the property and even had a chance to look inside with the owner. I'm ready to buy but just want to make sure I don't face any gotchas after the purchase. Any insight on liens or anything else I may be missing are more than welcome. Thanks!

Matt

Hi All!

I am a Pittsburgh native who has long been interested in real estate but didn't exactly know where to start in terms of analyzing deals, valuing properties, etc. I own a couple of houses and vacant lots in Pittsburgh and rehabbed one of these pretty much on my own (not recommended! although I did learn a lot!).  I learned of Bigger Pockets in late December of last year and since then have put some serious time in bringing myself up to speed. I have really enjoyed all of the excellent content and tools and am now in the process of looking for deals. I'm primarily interested in buy and hold of single and (preferably) small multifamily rental units but am also looking at potential flips. I look forward to interacting with and learning from you all as I begin to grow my business.

Richard Fields would you mind sharing the name of the bank you work with in Pittsburgh that allows 15% down?
