I would say it's definitely the people you are talking to. Some people aren't cut out to be a landlord . Yea there are things you have to deal with as a landlord , that a lot of people can't handle . If you find the right deal being a landlord is well worth the headaches.

You can't have more than one fha loan at the same time. Maybe try networking and find someone who wants to joint venture. It will be easier to get a mortgage if you consign. Also, you can use your rental properties as income .

I was trying to find an online source as well, but got the same response as you. So the only way is to make that trip to the courthouse. Im going to see what kind of open rate I get from this , first time trying.

Most investors are looking at Bergen/Lafayette area and it is becoming saturated ...It depends on what type of investor you are . All my properties are in Greenville , but I buy and hold . Right now a lot of people are shying away because of "safety" . Greenville in 5 years will be a different place.
