Hey Guys,

I literally just became a Pro member and have been looking at REI for the last month. I am very new to everything but I consistently hear the stories of how hard work pays off, and love that aspect of this pursuit. The biggest barrier I am still struggling with is the fear of not finding renters. I live in Arizona and am just about to graduate college, so funds are pretty tight. I have a potential investor to help with the down-payment, but know I would not stay afloat long if the place did not start renting. Any thoughts on the best method for relieving these fears and finding out how good the market is in a particular area, specifically Tempe and the surrounding area?

I currently live in 85281 and am a soon to be Arizona State Graduate. I almost always hear of friends looking for places to rent, so from the post-grad perspective, Tempe and Old Town are definitely good places. I am looking to invest in my first property, and would be willing to work with you to provide eyes on the ground. If you are interested, let me know!

Hey Nick,

I'm 22 and by no means an expert but have had a few mentors suggest some reading. Jllcollinsnh.com is an awesome place to start for a really high level overview. He has an 81 page series on stock investing that so far has given me a significant amount of exposure to the different areas. I'm currently reading a book called Laws of Wealth by Dr. Daniel Crosby which gives really good insight into investing. Hope this helps!

Hey Guys,

I have only been listening for a few weeks but am really excited about participating in this community. My name is Matt and I am about to graduate ASU with very little idea of what I want to do after I graduate. I have always loved working with my hands and I am looking to gain financial independence by byielding my assests, and real estate renting seems like an awesome environment to do both. However, because I am so new to this, I know I have world's of information to learn, and would love to learn any starting off information people are willing to share!

Best,

Matt
