Hi @Eric Schrader,

Since you're in the planning phase, it's the perfect time to save up money and build your credit. It sounds like a great idea to start locally since you have a good idea of the real estate there.

Best of luck!

@Richard Espinosa,

Congratulations on getting started so young! It sounds like you have a great plan lined up and that you're learning as much as you can. I think you're going to be very successful. If you can find a good mentor in your area or via BP, I think it will serve you well so that you have someone to lean on if you experience burn out during the course of investing.

I'm excited for you,

Mary Clare

Congratulations @Josh McCullough!

I hadn't thought a mobile home would be such a great investment. I'll definitely share this success story with others.

Hi @Account Closed,

I'm 23 and I look young, so I'm in the same boat.

My advice: if you believe that you are the best and the brightest, others will too. They may even want to help you get started in your business, in which case young age is an advantage.

Be competent and confident and you'll go far. Just think how great it will be in 10 years to look mature AND have 10 years of experience under your belt! I'm definitely looking forward to that.

@Victoria Owen,

Best of luck getting started! To find active BP members in your area, you can search recent forum posts for "Kansas City" and see if anyone near you has posted lately. Then you can establish a connection with them and ask them about your local market.

Post: Looking for Investing Mentors in Phoenix Area

Hello Pros,

I recently became a REALTOR® in Phoenix, Arizona and I'm interested in learning about investing. I would specifically like to be an agent that investors can rely on to find them good deals. Right now, I'm learning all that I can from BP, but it would be great to know someone in my local market who has experience.

Do you know anyone in Phoenix that would be a good mentor for me?

Thank you!

@Anthony Brown,

I don't have any personal experience in your area of the country, but here is a list that may be helpful. https://www.biggerpockets.com/hardmoneylenders/mar...

Good luck!

Hi @Shama Jones,

I agree with everyone who has said that women are not at a disadvantage in real estate. I'm a woman who just became an agent and I fully intend to have a successful career. If you are confident and competent, you will draw people to you.

Have you heard of the law of attraction? It basically means that if you think "I'm an attractive and lucky person. Good things happen to me!"... good things WILL happen to you! You'll attract good things to yourself by self-affirmation. It's worked for me so far!

If you stay positive and learn as much as you can about the industry, you'll be a rock star.

Good luck!

@Martha Goodrich,

Here is a site with good information: https://www.legalzoom.com/articles/florida-llc-gui....

Hopefully someone who has done this in the past in Florida will see this post and be able to respond as well.

Kind Regards,

Mary Clare

@Violet O.,

I'm excited for you because you are definitely on the right path!  It would be great if you could find a mentor in your area. I suggest searching recent posts (past 7 days) in the BP Forum with the keyword "Austin." Click through some of the recent discussions regarding properties in your area and send colleague requests to people who have posted recently that you would like to connect with. People on this site are very friendly and ready to help.

Good luck!
