Welcome

@Stephanie Cabal lots of good multifamilies in Brooklyn, especially anything other than downtown or Williamsburg areas.  My goal is to get one here for stability and venture out to less expensive markets.  I think the best entry for a newbie (me too!) is a program that helps you along the way and plugs you into friendly first time homebuyer programs.  Some encourage 2 family homes aka BP househacking! This process may take longer but they got the info on local programs you cant find anywhere else.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still unclear. I am moving forward with the LLC for now to help with the LOC. Except the LOC I'm looking at wants personal guarantee!

Thanks! It's been a while and I'm already meeting new people who can help.  Please feel free to connect with me via BP pm or colleague requests.

It's been a while - I moved twice, and changed my goals.  I'm introducing myself again to meet some BP members in the local NYC area and/or region.  My strategy is buy/hold mostly in revitalized communities/Section 8 and vacation rentals via Airbnb (this is more for me to live/rent out/family).

Right now, I am taking steps forward on a multifamily in Brooklyn/Queens.  It's a process but I am being helped by a local organization.  My goal is 10 houses by or before 50.  My background is marketing/community development.  Looking to meet local BP members to swap resources, advice or drinks!  Thanks again.

when is this happening again?

I'm looking for one that meets in Manhattan. The ones I found are on Meetup and seem to be selling courses or classes. I used to belong to a REI in Tampa and I walked away charged with contacts. The ones I am going to now are basically sit and learn and buy my course meetings. Any info on this appreciated. Would love to meet other BP members in the city! Thanks!

I want to set up an LLC and apply for a loc but wondering if it is too soon. I do not have a first property yet but looking to buy in a few months. I just want to have the financing ready to go for purchase! Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

I'm looking to buy first prop within the next 3-6 months - I'm looking now. Is it too early to open an LLC? I want to open one to get a business line of credit for purchases. Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
