I’m in CA, and my rental properties are in Rochester NY.  Initially, I wanted to use buildium but then decided on Tenant Cloud (not the free one).  I have a boots-on-the-ground person in Rochester and also bought home warranty for all of the 5 units.  

@Robert Leitner have you tried Tenant cloud?

We are flying from CA this weekend to check on two properties we purchased in Rochester, a duplex and triplex.  It will be our first time seeing them.  Both fully rented out and close to the university of Rochester.  We plan to visit Ithaca too to see what deals we can find.

I bought two multiplexes in Rochester recently. We might be neighbors, Matt! ;) I wonder if I can get a HELOC on them. Thanks for the tip, Chad. Will they do a HELOC if it's in a LLC?

How much was the appraisal?  I bought two properties in Rochester and they appraised a little over what I paid for.

@Wesley W. I just purchased two multifamily homes in upstate NY. I think even with the moratorium, it doesn’t mean that they can rent for free. They still need to pay back rent. NY is one of the landlord friendly states. Hopefully this is true.

@Peter DeSilva, I just closed on a duplex and triplex yesterday in NY! 

 Took more than 60 days to close!
