@Collin H.

Put up security cameras everywhere and record any encounters. Put up large fences to enclose the area and no trespassing signs. Document everything.

@Reinaldo Lopez

Easy, use debt to income and credit reports.

Am I wrong if you own your rental free and clear you don’t have to follow any of these rules?

Simple. Get a lock box with a code. If they lock themselves out you give them the code. You change the code after. My tenants think I’m god sent.

I call his office all the time, in fact today I just wanted to clarify with his office whether or not he mentioned if the protest lately have contributed to the Covid cases in Minnesota since nobody socially distances or a lot of the protestors don’t wear masks.

@Paul DeSilva

Nope, just paying down the mortgage, value adding on duplex to increase rents, taking advantage of a 2.76 interest rate and putting money away.

@Mindy Jensen

Mountain bike, hiking, snow boarding, boating, fishing and glamping. .

@Chris Gawlik

So if I can just interject my experience that’s this year we had a Lakehome that we have done Airbnb in for the past two years and I was very excited to sell it for just under list price. Although it was very successful and made good money off of it, it was just too much work involved. With Covid happening now, I’m glad we’re not in that business anymore.

In the past two months I’ve turned over to units in south Minneapolis, which is a very desirable area. This year was very strange, because usually I have a line out the door of perspective tenants. This year I believe I had no more than five look at each unit, but luckily both rented immediately for higher rents. So for south Minneapolis, it just seems very strange that I didn’t have tons of responses this year. not sure if supply was great and demand was low. All I am saying is this is the experiences I’ve had were quite odd.

@Aaron Hollingshead

Guess I don’t know why would you wanted to invest in Portland? I’m in a very liberal area Minneapolis, but luckily I have very good tenants who are reasonable and pay the rent on time. I do not agree with the city Council of Minneapolis this far I’m doing OK.
