@Wayne Brooks that's correct about the Save our Homes. However the assessed value is significantly higher than the neighbors and I wanted to know what my options are. @Samuel Awosolu do you know how to challenge the tax assessors or a lawyer that could help me out?

I have a recently bought property in Miami that was reassessed for tax purposes for almost $300,000 more than the previous assessed value. The seller had owned the home since '92 which is why the previous year's assessed value was so low. When the county reassessed the property's market value for taxing purposes I noticed that the market value for my home was assessed at a higher amount than the nearby homes that are similar. Any recommendations or successful stories on appealing property taxes?

I am looking for a solid lender in South Florida, preferably the Miami/Kendall area to do a cash-out refinance on an investment property. Any referrals are appreciated.

I have been creating a driving for dollars list through my daily travels. My question is what is the best way to contact these owners? I don't want to send mail to a house that's abandoned. Should I just look up a mailing address on tax roll or is there a better way? As always thank you all for your time.

Hello Nahomie Samuel I am also in the Miami area. I am looking for a REIA to attend but it looks like they are all selling something. Do you have one you recommend?

John Anderson George P. Thanks for the input. Taxes have gone up substantially (almost 1500) and rent on the unit is under value by at least $50. I am just apprehensive because they are such good tenants.

Hello everyone, I need some advice. I have a rental with amazing tenants but it's time to raise the rent a little. We were thinking about $20-30. My question is how to convey this to the tenants without alienating them? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
