I am a REALTOR in Maryland and listing a property for rent.  My client has asked me to help her find a good property manager for her home.  Unfortunately I only know of property managers that I have had BAD experiences with and know NOT to recommend.  Can anyone recommend a good property manager who serves southern Maryland? Or on the flip side can anyone tell me other property managers in Maryland I should avoid?

Wow, do you mind giving us there name so we know to avoid them?

I manage my own rental but am looking for a good property manager rite now to refer to a client in Southern Maryland.  Unfortunately I only know BAD property managers that I can advise my clients to avoid, one of which is Mountain To Shore Property Managment http://www.mountaintoshoremanagement.com/  I dealt with them with another client renting there home and found them to be very unprofessional, unreliable and just plained sucked!

Hey @Brandon L. that was meant as a response to @Stephen Lee when she said "I also don't know if it's legal (again in MD) to give out my MLS login information to them in order to allow them to run comps"

I am also a REALTOR in Maryland. I am pretty sure there is a $1,000 fee for first offense if you are ever caught giving your MLS log in information to someone else to use. I think that fee goes up for further offenses and eventual revocation of your account.

If you are trying to scale up, have you thought of starting a real estate agent team with you as the team lead and having a licensed agent do this work for you in exchange giving them a few leads?

I have herd good things about the SOMDREIG.  I plan on attending one of there meetings as well, like you I'm just waiting for my schedule to line up with there meetings.  Maybe I'll make there December meet up.

Hey David, I am a Realtor in Waldorf and would be happy to help you find an investment property in southern Maryland.  I am not a flipper but do own one rental in Annapolis that I rehabbed and it's working out pretty well for me.  If you message me with more specifics of what type of homes you are looking for and what price range and i'll see if I can find something that might work for you.

Hi Mark,

Welcome.  Make sure you check out the BP podcast.  A wealth of knowledge there.  I am in a similar boat as you, I have one rental and looking to expand.  If you ever need a REALTOR hit me up.

I know in Maryland only short sale negotiators can talk to a bank on the home owners behalf but I do know agents in my brokerage who still get short sale's listings and then hire short sale negotiators to work with them and the bank.  Perhaps the agents who are advertising to pre-forclosures have done something similar?

Hey Josh,

I am a REALTOR in southern Maryland and also looking to invest in more rental properties as well.  I currently have one in Annapolis and it is working out great for me!  I have heard good things about the SOMDREIG but I just haven't made it around to any of there meetings yet but do plan on going.  Maybe i'll see you there one day.  If you are looking for an agent in southern Maryland hit me up, I live in Waldorf but do business further south of here as well.
