It was the same for me. But after I got my first house, they no longer say their disapproval out loud. They just hold it in.

At age 25 I am a homeowner, the comment my brother has for me was, “if it was me, I woulda gotten a larger house with more rooms for guests” meanwhile he doesn’t own any thing.

It’s kinda hard to tell whether they are hating or just afraid for me. Some people are afraid of other people around them doing better than them, they are even more afraid of people who take charge of their own life. Cause then they have to realize that they could be doing better.

I think U should ask yourself why u need their approval... if it’s so they can help u, the great thing about it is you don’t need their help, You can do it on your own.... that is what’s so inspiring about BiggerPockets.

I know what company your are stalking about. I can’t think of the name right now. I went to a “free” hotel conference in Albany NY, for 3 hours instead of giving us info they tried to up sell us to a weekend workshop for $199, My best friend and I knew right away it was a scam. I ended up paying for the 200$ but got my money back a couple of day later.

@Rich Hupper I wasn’t offering my service, it’s not really something I can do, lol I’m not at that level yet.

I was saying you should get an architect from the beginning, not just for marketing image purposes. I think I saw a couple of people suggest you get an architect to get some marketing images out.
