Oh okay. Makes sense

@Patrick Bavaro

Yea I just mean if u don’t share Th e same furniture, then just let him smoke in the house, it’s not likely he will burn it down. I myself am not a smoker, but if it doesnt affect me in a huge way I wouldn’t loose a tenant over that.

It’s crazy cause when I first started househacking (mine is just 3 bed house, I have roomates) everything my roomates did bothered me lol... but I’m slowly learning to chill. It’s hard. To me the lease is there to be to protect u, but they will break the rules. No way about it.

And I wouldn’t talk to them about it unless u have proof they are selling drugs . Then that’s a crime u can talk about or report.

@Patrick Bavaro

Lol , someone probably said this already, but u cantchange the locks and lock them out in anyway. Especially since there is a pandemic, they can literally do anything right now. And there nothing u can do

If it’s just the smoking, i would just let them smoke, and hold their deposit later on... but then again I don’t have kids.... so...

But I totally feel ur pain.

@David Hernandez

Wow.

Being a minority doesnt excuse this kinda of assumption insinuating the reason why black people are effected by the wage gap is because they are lazy.

We are talking specifically about black peoples. Not everyone.

We don’t have to “all lives matter this convo”

@Michael Leeson

I personally try and educate the people around me about real estate and the basics on how to get started.

@Tim G.

So on point.

The questions is what are you doing? it’s a not license to explain why Black people should pull themselves up (however politically correct you put it)

I appreciate this conversation, but I will not be participating because I just don’t have the patience for the “pull your self up....” “it’s in the past.....” or the “if I can do it....” wrapped in political correctness.

But I appreciate the convo, and everyone making an effort, especially those that are not black.
