Hey Ron, I am from Staten Island also looking for the same thing, an area to invest in nj for flips and rentals. Looking in a couple areas now in the jersey shore areas. Lots of homes that you can get cheap that need to be raised. What kind of contracting work do you do?

Hey guys, thanks for the nice welcome. Brian, I would like to hear more about your current flip deal. Is this your first? Would be great to chat about that and learn a few things. I still live in Staten Island. Like a lot of others say here on BP, Staten Island is very hot at this moment, but also hard to get started here, everything is priced pretty high. Bidding wars on homes, selling for more than asking price. Looking to start with single family flips and progress to multi unit rentals. Loui K.

Hello there, how did it go with the agents? Did you find any good areas in that price range? That's actually the range that I am looking in as well, 100-150 to start off with. I am looking at both sfh to rehab and multi's to rehab and hold. For single family started looking in south jersey, toms river areas, prices are pretty good. Also, considering Scranton pen. Any progress on your end? Agents willing to help you at all? Talk to you soon

Hello Sandro, thanks for the quick reply. Yes I have been looking into the meet ups as well. I am looking to go to the next metro re association get together. They are based in central jersey. Basically I am looking to get started with multi family rentals, and hopefully move my way up with eventually acquiring commercial apartment buildings. Maybe for some quick profits do some flips. Been reading as well, several books on business, investing, money. Personally I am engineer, with construction experience. Also, recently completed real estate license course and looking get started with a broker soon. Do you have an idea yet on which path you would take to start real estate investing? Thanks, Loui
