Dear BiggerPockets Community,

I hope this message finds you all well. I'm Lorenzo, an aspiring real estate investor breaking into the world of real estate private equity. To build credibility and grow my network, I've started a podcast that features interviews with successful real estate professionals, primarily focused on multifamily investing.

The interview will last around 40-60 minutes, and we'll cover topics like your journey in real estate, key lessons learned, and tips for aspiring investors. It’ll be a relaxed and engaging atmosphere.

Your participation will be a great honor for us, and we'll actively promote the episode to ensure your expertise reaches a wider audience.

If you are interested in joining us, please, let me know, and we can discuss the details and potential dates.

Thanks for considering, and I hope we can connect soon!

Best regards,

Lorenzo Lopez

Post: Should I go to College?

I'm about to finish my freshman year in college and honestly, I really enjoyed it. I mainly decided to attend college because I knew that the connections would pay off 1000% and they have so far (and its only my first year). I was in a class with this sophomore and he sounded very articulate to me so I went up to him and told him he should get into sales (this was last semester), and little did I know he already was, kind of. He is only 20 with about half a million in the bank and he was the one who introduced me to real estate. I wouldn't be here without him. However, college can be very distracting, its just a matter of what you do with your time.

I'd probably recommend buying one. I think Michael Blank's is pretty popular and fairly cheap. Or Lone Star's is free on their website somewhere. Search Lone Star Capital

Yea, I got Lone Star’s model and I made this one based on theirs but I find theirs extremely complex. I’m only looking to invest with one partner and small multifamily.

Hello everyone!

I am fairly new to the multifamily investing space and have been intrigued by the syndication structure. Recently, I created my own underwriting model, getting inspiration from various sources, and I am eager to hear your valuable feedback. I would appreciate any input on any important components that I may have overlooked, any suggestions on what I should add, or your overall opinion of the model and its potential for syndication. My focus is primarily on small multifamily properties with 3-20 units, and I'm thinking about working with one or two partners. The Model is meant to be something simple in order for me to better understand and explain to potential partners/investors. Please find the link below, and thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hey @Josh Terrell. I host a bi-weekly Zoom meeting for new/beginning investors who are between 15 and 25. It's a networking group, and we often have expert guests join our meetings. If you're interested, lmk.

Dan

Hey Dan, I'm 19. Would love to have an opportunity to be part of your networking group. Can I message you about that?

Working your way into a syndication deal as a GP is possible..not easy, but possible.  You need to provide value in one way or another.  This is what I did.  Syndication/leveraging OPM is a great way to scale quicker.

Where or How can I find people to provide value to? I have been practicing my underwriting/deal analysis skills for a bit now and I’m pretty confident in them. I am also confident in my skills of building pitch decks. I would love to help and provide value, just don’t know where to offer it.
