I am a new investor in the western New York area(Niagara Falls) and I am looking to try and find a new job related to real estate that I could pursue so I don't have to work construction on the road anymore and be away from my family so much. I was wondering if anyone had any insight on this profession particularly in New York state and whether or not they would recommend this for someone like me who has no experience in this category other than my first purchase I just made. I also was just wondering how long it would take me to get my license as well as any fees and costs. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

Hi my name is Lucas Duncan and I am a new investor in the Niagara Falls NY area looking to concentrate on small multifamily properties and some single family rentals as well. I am closing on my first investment property this week which is a duplex in the town of niagara and we will be using the house hacking strategy for a couple years by living in one side and renting out the other while trying to purchase at least one other property  by the end of this year. Im looking to eventually have enough properties in a few years so I don't have to work construction on the road anymore and hopefully be a full time investor at home. I am looking forward to meeting other investors in my area and I am very excited for this new chapter in my life. thanks
