Unfortunately, it is NREIG that has suddenly jacked up the price 30%. Hence why we are shopping around. Thanks for the info though. (no claims were made on the policy at all)

We may need to get some basic landlord property insurance. We just got word from the company now insuring us that there is going to be a small price increase in the policy. Turns out this small increase is 30%!!

Would really appreciate if anyone can recommend anyone who writes these policies in Detroit.

Hi Folks,

We're in the process of doing due diligence on a property on COYLE St., a block or so south of JOY rd.

We've looked into the neighborhood as much as we can, and would love to know if anyone has swung by the area at any time recently, and can share their opinions on that general area.

From what we think we know, Joy rd. seems pretty run down around there, however, heading south from Joy it picks up a bit, as you get closer to Dearborn, and COYLE itself from a block or so below Joy seems to be ok. Nothing too distressed.

If anyone has, or is having, boots on the ground in the next week or so, we'd be very, very grateful for any info you can give us. Living in China, I can't offer you much beyond some good Karma (and perhaps next time I'm back home in the US I can send you some chicken feet snacks or sth. ;) ) but we'd be very grateful.

Is anyone familiar with the area of 48219 around Wayne County Community College NW campus?

We have an opportunity there and would really appreciate any info.

The place is located on Curtis St., so a half mile or so inside of 7th Mile.

We’re OOC investors and are using a trusted team, but the more info the better. The images/ info and street views we can find google and online look better than we might have expected.
