Post: Agent Fees in Denver - Split 50/50 seller/buyer?

Two questions:

The first is that I've heard that buyers will pay the agent closing fee? Is this common, a result of a competitive market, or a rumor?

The second is, when you submit an offer, where would you find the % paid out to agents upon closing & who is responsible for it?

Hi BiggerPockets - This question is for the lenders on the site. I understand the differences between a FICO score and a VantageScore. Which do you prefer loan applicants check prior to applying for a loan? and WHY?!

They seem to be interchangeable/on the same scale (at least a VantageScore 3.0 and above), but conventional lenders prefer FICO? Trying to understand why.

@Joe Crupi , unfortunately, no plans to update the Marketplace search at this time. We are hoping to re-prioritize updates to the Marketplace by early 2020, I will certainly make sure we discuss the search functionality at that time.

Hi BiggerPockets! My family has inherited property just north of Green Bay. We are not interested in renting out the property as out of state landlords, plus the property needs a renovation which we do not want to manage from out of state.

We're going to attend the WiscoREIA in Green Bay's meet-up this week but we're looking for other ways to connect with off-market investor/flippers --- any suggestions for other events to attend or investors to meet in the area?

There is a reporter who would like to speak with landlords in the following cities:

Pittsburgh, PA

Columbia, SC

Buffalo, NY

Chicago, IL

Indianapolis, IN

Birmingham, AL

Seattle, WA

Milwaukee, WI

Dayton, OH

Minneapolis, MN

If you are interested in talking to them about your experiences renting in these markets and your perception of why your market is particularly strong (or if you think it isn’t, why not), please PM me with your email address. I'll pass along your information to the reporter.

@Russell Brazil we are going to roll out a fix for this next week. The issue seems to be limited to a few people and we need to figuere out why. In the meantime, feel free to PM if there is anything I can do to help. I suggest using another property type for the listings, I know that is not an ideal solution.
