This discussion is one step forward.  BP will gauge interest based on the quantity of responses here.

There is also a "contact us" link at the bottom of the page where you can reach customer support - if you were so inclined to share your thoughts with them.

We will be talking about one of the coolest things in Real estate. Something that probably happens a lot more than most people realize: seller financing aka creating a private note aka owner carried contracts. These types of deal happen in every price range in every asset clas from mobile homes to apartment buildings.

There are a ton of angles that you can cover on this topic. How to negotiate a note deal, the buying, selling and flipping of notes and all the different ways that you can structure a deal.

For real estate investors from Kennewick, Pasco, Richland and beyond!  We look forward to seeing you there.

We will be having a meeting this Thursday @ 6pm at Fuse.  I will be posting it in the Events section here on BP.  If you have your keyword alerts set up you should get notice.  Hope to see you there.

This post is the first part of that effort.  I contacted BP support to inquire about a sub-forum and they recommended to start with this discussion so that they can gauge the interest.

For good measure I also sent a direct message to Brandon Turner with the same request.  He said he would see what he could do.

Replies and votes on this discussion will help.

There are many real estate investors in and around the Tri-Cities, Washington area that have expressed interest in seeing a sub-forum here on Bigger Pockets dedicated to our market.  This area includes Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, Benton City among others.

We can use this forum to communicate everything from our group meeting schedule, referrals, requests for advice, partners, financing - you name it.  No matter the subject, if it's related to our market, communication would be much easier in a dedicated sub-forum.

Those of you who have been to or run RE Investors Group meetings/meetups, what have you found works best for structure?  Everyone is busy and we want to make sure their time is well spent when coming to our group.  Rather than trying to reinvent the wheel, I thought you all might provide some ideas and best practices.  I am new to the group, but I understand there have been up to 45 attendees.

What works well?

What doesn't work well?

@Brett Tousley

Hello Brett!  I am here is the Tri-Cities as well, Kennewick to be exact.  You and I share the same goals - enough positive cash flow from rentals to retire.  The market seems to be really tight here, but I'm looking all the time.  It would be great to meet up sometime and share some ideas.

Bigger Pockets is overflowing with information.  It's great to have you here.
