Both of my Parents were educators in NYC! Two of the most educated people that I have ever met, But their Downfall was financial literacy! Im happy that we are able to learn about it and apply it:) and you are doing just that.

Thanks for reaching out to me. Thats Too funny about your Dad being on 78th Street, its a great place to live. I grew up very close to JH so I know it well. Your Father was litterally my Nieghbor then. My mother Grew up on 89th street. The world is smaller than you can imagine. Id totally be cool with discussing my plans and further action with you. Hi Everyone:) My name is Lewis and want to introduce myself. Wow I Love this site.

I signed up a few months ago and got so in to reading and learning that I Missed this step. I have been an Electrician in Local3 IBEW NYC for over 20 years. I am in the process of learning about investing and would love to connect and meet folks on here and perhaps add Value to people. My wife and I are currently house Hacking a Duplex in Jackson Hieghts Queens That I gut renovated Mostly myself. I am ready to Take action and the next steps. Thanks to all on here for your Help and wisdom.

I am in the same Boat as you. I have one Duplex in jackson Hieghts Queens NY which is also My Primary Residence. It was an SUV or a Truck. I decided that I would need the truck as I am an Electrician By trade and figured I am better off with the truck to move material etc. remember if you get a decent Truck it can be a family ride as well. It has already made life easier when I had to buy sheetrock and wonderboard for the house. Hope this helps best of luck.

Hi Daren, thanks for the insightfull perspective. I am exploring this route a s a viable sollution. Im signed up for fund and grow and am currently working toward lowering my Credit utillization and having to dinkies removed from my score. This seems like a very logical way of getting in to this game and like you said no Different than a private or hard money lender. All the best to you and thanks for breaking it Down!
