Dear BP family,

My family and I belong to the Gilbert Seventh-day Adventist church in Arizona.  Our congregation of 50-60 is currently renting as we save to purchase property.  As you know, commercial property is very expensive so I am reaching out to you for help. Do you know of any property, whether off-market commercial or residential, that could be leased by a church group.  We are interested in everything from an old gas station, barn, office building, out building, renting from another church, etc.  We would like to discuss creative financing.  We are also a 501c3 organization belonging to the Arizona Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  Please feel free to message me.

Thank you for your help.

@Shiloh Lundahl thank you for organizing such a great get-together.  Our family enjoyed the networking, the tax presentation, and the helpfulness of everyone.  We are looking forward to the next one.

I am working my through the RE licensee classes.  After passing the state exam, I would like to join a brokerage who is investor-minded.  What questions should I ask?  My goal is to become the investors realtor in the Phoenix area.  An agent who knows what investors are looking for.

Any suggestions?

@Nate Hedrick I'm so happy to hear all is going well and most importantly, you're building a solid network.  Today I stopped by the RE school to ask some questions and pick up info on cost, class schedule, etc.  I could hear instructors teaching their class and started to feel a little anxious about going back to school.  Very different now with a family vs. being single with many less commitments.  It'll all work out though.  Fortunately it's only 6 weeks!  Reading about your last year has encouraged me.  You have a good heart.  God bless you and your family.

@Nate Hedrick I am in the same boat.  You originally posted a year ago.  A lot changes in a year.  I am curious how everything turned out for you?

I am going to pursue my RE license in Arizona. After digging through BP, I feel this is a good solid first step. My intent is to ultimately use it for REI but also to make contacts and learn the business.

@Brandon Johnson Thank you for the suggestions on questions.

Thank you, everyone, for your tips and information.  @Bob Okenwa, I will be at the Mesa Meetup.  I'm excited to learn more. I've got some questions, so, off to the forums!

Hi BP Nation,

If you read my profile, you will understand where I am in this journey of RE investing. I have a timeline of 5.5 months to pull the trigger. During this time I am working on learning more and growing my capital. I am aggressively digging through BP, loving the podcasts and blog posts. (I feel like I'm friends with Josh and Brandon.) Can anyone recommend a REIA group in the Phoenix area that is willing to take on a newbie?

Thank you for your suggestions!
