Hello BP! Just got my first house under contract! Big thanks to my mentor and a fellow BP member! It's said that we aim for "no"s but I got a yes on my 2nd actual offer! Pretty excited about this. I even have another house that I'm itching to pursue, but I want to get the mechanics of all this down a little more before I do. Don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

Sidenote: BP is awesome

Thanks Dmitiry!  I've already downloaded several podcasts. That stuff is gold! The Grant Cardone podcast was great!

Welcome to BP! I'm in the Columbia are but Lexington seems to be a good place to be. Sounds like you know what you want to do already which is a great start. And Paul definitely gave some good recommendations but I'd like to point out one more for a good overview...

@Paul Timmins

Hey Paul, thanks for the info! I'm excited to attend some local REIA meetings. I actually reached out to a wholesaler/flipper a few weeks ago. After a phone conversation he agreed to mentor me. I'm very thankful for that!

Hello all! I was doing some self educating on real estate and stumbled across this great site. I lurked on the forums a little bit and decided to create a profile.

I originally planned to become a real estate agent. But while researching I ran across wholesaling and decided to focus on that. I understand that real estate or wholesaling is not a get rich quick thing and that money is required for marketing with wholesaling.  I don't expect it to be easy. But the payoff for sticking with it is well worth it to me.

My goal is to eventually over to rehabbing at some point. But I'm not even worried about that at the moment. It's one step at a time and my first step is wholesaling so I will focus on that!
