Hi Ashley, Congrats on the STR! Where is yours located? I have one just west of the Dells. We are working with our property manager getting everything ready to go- we are just a few weeks out from going live (fingers crossed). I do have some learnings from my PM I'd be happy to share with you!

Hi Owen, if you're looking to see what you can do right now, Nathan's answer is exactly right on getting the education process started. I would also add networking and connecting with local agents in your area. Talk to different agents in different brokerages and get a feel for what might be a good fit for you. Because you're new, it is a good idea to ask about the brokerage's agent training offerings and potential teams to join to get experience.

I am an agent in the South Central WI market, specifically Madison and surrounding areas. If you ever want to chat, feel free to reach out anytime. I'm happy to connect and share my experience!

Hi Leah, me and my team have a lot of experience selling fixer uppers - but you may get more bang for your buck talking to a wholesaler depending on your area. I'll shoot you a DM to get more details!

Welcome, Sean! I am an investor here in WI as well. Have you considered investing in Madison, WI. We have a great market for MTR's. Madison is also a great city to invest if you're looking to gain equity a bit quicker than other parts of the state. I love connecting with other investors, let me know if you ever want to chat!

If your MTRs are near a university, you should also list on sabbaticalhomes.com

I haven't heard of this one, thank you!

Two part question:

I am just about ready to get my first STR up and running and am looking for advice on anywhere else I should be listing the property besides the obvious Airbnb/VRBO. My property is an a-frame cabin located near WI Dells.

I am also a realtor with clients who are investing in MTR's in my market, as STRs aren't allowed. Looking for advice on where to post fully furnished month-to-month rentals besides the usual Furnished Finder/Airbnb/Zillow.

Thank you!

I am part of a multiple-person LLC (Primevets United LLC); we are actively looking for properties in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We would like to link with a realtor who is well-versed in the area above and knowledgeable about purchasing with an LLC.
