How exciting! I am a realtor and investor in Madison, WI. Milwaukee is a great area to invest. Depending on the area you are looking in there can be opportunity to find something that cash flows nicely or properties that will build equity quickly.  Good luck! 

Way to go! It sounds like you built a lovely home and some great equity with this investment. That's what it's all about. I'm a Madison investor/realtor as well working on renovating my home on the west side. It isn't easy but it is so rewarding! I also found my home on the MLS, it sat for 3 months due to all of the work needed but it was exactly what we were looking for. Congratulations!
