And it will be their laws and not the constitution.

Couldn't agree more.

@Russell Brazil SCOTUS did not make a ruling in July, due to the fact that the moratorium was ending.  And Kavanaugh's opinion was actually exactly to the contrary of that? I'd be open to reviewing whatever information you have.  We are fully aware of the funding needed, thank you.

The CDC originally enacted the eviction moratorium on September 4, 2020, to expire at the end of 2020. This blatantly unconstitutional abuse of power has now been extended AGAIN, which is more than a YEAR after its original inception, despite the Supreme Court's opinion of this action being unlawful. This continued abuse of power is a threat to both our democracy and small business everywhere.

Indiana Property Rights Alliance has retained attorneys from Thrasher Buschmann & Voelkel to begin the process of filing suit to immediately halt the unconstitutional eviction moratorium and to potentially recover damages for housing providers. We are prepared to take this all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.

@Ian Davidson they have nothing to

Do with one another. I was responding to

Someone saying I was only hiring a lobbyist to change a term. Iā€™m not. I hired a lobbyist to cover many areas we struggle with. I was simply asking for ideas on one particular aspect.

@Merritt S. Waitā€¦. Do you think itā€™s dumb to change the word but youā€™re simultaneously disgusted by the term ā€œhousing providersā€? Hmmmmmm šŸ¤”

@Curt Bixel legislation would include a definition. For exampleā€¦ is someone that sells a property on contract a ā€œlandlordā€ because in my state, they are treated as such for a specified period of time in the beginning of the contract. Is a condominium association a landlord? They maintain the common groundsā€¦.. I think the term ā€œlandlordā€ is no longer accurate, as well as carrying negative connotations.
