Hi @Omar Mares It's illegal in Oklahoma to wholesale/sell real estate in any form (unless "for sale by owner") without a real estate license in Oklahoma. Went into effect several years ago (2021). I think Oklahoma was one of the first states to do it.

Hi @Katherine Roberts - I'm not a tax specialist in any way/shape/form... but I don't think you can get a sales tax exemption for your real estate company. I keep my receipts and get credit/expense it on my tax return - my houses are held in an LLC. I would definitely ask your bookkeeper or tax preparer here to make sure, so you don't lose out on some $. But I think the answer is no bc it's deductible a different way!

@Gary Wright I'm super interested to hear what you end up doing!  Have you checked with all the SOFA status rules to see if you would be allowed to buy while there?  We were overseas in Okinawa.... and I don't know anyone who bought... there might have been, but I only knew renters (and we had to pay in cash monthly... that was a pain!).  I'd definitely be careful (unless you are fluent in German?). Legal documents and customs are tricky in a native language let alone a foreign one. But before that - you might need to check to see if you will be even allowed to do it by your command/orders.  Let us know!  I'd love to hear your journey on it! Viel Glück!
