So I was advised by an MLO, that in Illinois it is illegal to write out a contract to purchase a property without having my real estate license. Can any investors in Illinois confirm or deny this? (I will not hold anyone legally responsible for this advice and will fact check myself, I just wanted to ask the community first.)

So I was reviewing the yellow letters website and I see you can buy leads directly from them. Has anyone used this service for the leads and has it been worth it? Or should I just compile my own list? (Time vs Money)

Hi Everyone! New member here from Chicago, I have been hanging BiggerPockets now for about 5 months, reading forums and listening to some of the podcast. I just finished reading The Book on Investing in Real Estate with No (and Low) Money Down, and yes I left a review on amazon.
